The organisers describe the Tough Mudder event as a ‘12-mile course designed by British Special Forces to challenge the toughest of the tough’. And having experienced the course as a spectator, I would seriously agree with that statement!
A team of staff, friends and volunteers, aptly named ‘Extremely Muddy’, has just completed a Tough Mudder event in order to raise sponsorship for an outward bound trip for ten of our clients during National Epilepsy Week (18-25 May) celebrating the individuality and helping dispel the stigma that can so often surround epilepsy. The C3 Challenge is offering people the opportunity to tackle Climbing, Caving and Canoeing at the Bendrigg Trust in Kendal, Cumbria, assisted by an experienced staff team led by Chief Executive Mike Keighley.
As our own ‘Extremely Muddy’ team will testify, taking people a few steps beyond their everyday comfort zone is an amazing way to increase confidence and improve self-esteem. Plus it can be a great deal of fun!
You can still sponsor our ‘Extremely Muddy’ team, raising funds for our C3 Challengers – please click the donate button below. And thank you! Your help is always very much appreciated.
