The aim of The Meath Epilepsy Charity is to enhance the lives of people who have complex epilepsy and related disabilities by ensuring they receive the support, expert care and encouragement required to build confidence, acquire new skills and maximise independence in their daily lives.
WAITING LIST FOR RESIDENCY AT THE MEATH
We receive a lot of requests from potential resident’s relatives regarding vacancies and asking to come and view the Meath. Unfortunately, at present we don’t have any vacancies and in addition do have a long waiting list for most of our residential living spaces with no planned movement within the next 3-4 years.
We will not therefore, be showing potential residents around the Meath in 2018. The main reason for not showing people around is that it is our residents’ home and we have to respect their choices of not always wanting strangers in their homes. The other reason is that most people that visit the Meath fall in love with the organisation almost immediately which makes the decision of finding an alternate provider difficult and for some impossible to consider.
We will be in contact with those on the waiting list as soon as a suitable vacancy becomes available. Our team will then be available to do an assessment to determine if there are any changes in need.
In 2018 we will be holding two Meath Open Days for prospective residents and their families to see the Meath :-
Saturday 27th January
10am – 3pm
Saturday 16th October
10am – 3pm
We will not be showing potential residents around at any other time of the year.
