Management & Ethos
The Meath functions on a simple premise. We constantly strive to provide our residents with the most professional care and support that we can in an environment as close to home as we can make it, while encouraging residents to develop as much independence as possible.
We respect absolutely the rights of each and every one of our residents to privacy and freedom. We are here to give people who have epilepsy and other disabling problems the chance to understand and manage their illness and to live a full and satisfying life.
Our philosophy of care is centred around 4 key principles: Rights, Independence, Choice and Inclusion. We aim to maximise the quality of life for every one of our residents by creating opportunities for them they might otherwise never have.
Long experience has helped us build a team of highly skilled, professional carers who are always ready to make use of the latest thinking and developments in epilepsy care.
Many employees have been with us for more than 20 years and built close ‘family like’ relationships with our residents. They are the reason for our success and the foundation for our future.
Each of our Trustees brings an individual skill that benefits the way the Meath functions. Collectively they have wide experience of business, law, marketing, social services, epilepsy care and fundraising.
