Our Colin Stokes is passionate about the Meath. So passionate, that he has been pounding the streets during this horribly cold weather, training for his forthcoming Marathon run, when all the rest of us have been huddled round the fire! So, please, th very least we can do is lend him some warm support.
Colin is raising funds for our Home from Home Appeal, building a new high-needs facility for our most disabled clients. If you would like to sponsor Colin, then please visit his Justgiving page: www.justgiving.com/cstokes. (Alternatively, send a cheque to our Fundraising Manager made payable to 'Meath Epilepsy Trust' and flagging it as support for Colin's run).
Thank you so much for your help.
While at the Sharp End...
Everyone at the Meath would like to say a huge "Thank You" to the Sharp family from Godalming who have just completed the Brighton Marathon on behalf of the Meath.
Katherine Sharp, along with her parents Nigel and Linda, started training for their run at the beginning of the year. As Katherine said, it wasn't all plain sailing.
"I've had a tonsillectomy AND shin splints. But the time I spent volunteering with the Meath while I was completing my Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards really spurred me on. I loved my time helping out and met so many wonderful people. Which is why we chose the Meath as our Charity when my parents and I decided to take on the Brighton Marathon. We're hoping to reach our £700 target but are just really happy to be doing something for everyone at the Meath."
