New drive to encourage more supported living

We are at the centre of a radical new phase in Government attitude to care and choice. There is strong political pressure away from residential care and towards supported living; particularly to provide individuals with greater choice in managing and funding their own future

We fully embrace the need for change. The Meath has been reinventing itself for 100 years.  We are totally committed to encouraging and supporting those people who live with us who would benefit from a supported living environment and indeed we work closely with the agencies that are able to help us facilitate this.

In the coming year we plan to redevelop and expand some of our existing facilities to provide more independent living opportunities.  However we feel there will always be a need for residential care for people with multiple disabilities and complex epilepsy and as such we continue to strive to provide a service that embraces all elements of their care.
