Don’t miss Godalming Staycation Live Festival at Godalming’s Phillips Memorial Park On Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th August. The Meath are thrilled to be the chosen charity at this year’s event and we hope you’ll come along to enjoy to the usual selection of great music, tasty food and brilliant beer and cocktails that Godalming has come to expect. As the weekend falls on the Meath’s 125th Anniversary we will be running a ‘Meath Birthday Party Stall’ where children (or anyone interested!) can decorate a party hat, enjoy a cupcake and take away a Meath balloon all for a donation to the Meath. Not only will the Meath benefit from a percentage of the event’s proceeds but this is also a great opportunity for us to continue to increase awareness of Epilepsy and the Meath in our local community.

The Staycation Live Music Festival kicks off a week long programme of activities and events organised by Godalming Town Council for Godalming residents, we are delighted that this year Changing Perceptions are running free taster workshop sessions as part of the programme of events. Last year saw dozens of events taking place in and around the town which makes Godalming’s Staycation event one of the largest in the UK.

We hope you can join us over the weekend, be it for upbeat party music on the Saturday, with sing-along classics to get you moving on the Sunday. Previous events have seen such diverse acts as Boycom, a 5 piece hip-hop act from Brighton, gypsy jazz group Sheelanagig and 10 piece funk and soul covers act Frank the Cat. Little Beer Corporation will once again be providing their craft beer expertise running the bar and they’ll have a range of cask ales and kegged beers on sale, as well as Pimms and local cider from Chiddingfold’s Garden Cider Company.
