Get Involved
The Meath values your gifts of time and enthusiasm just as much as financial gifts. By volunteering to organise and run events, you would be raising much-needed funds for our activities and also helping us to raise our profile.
How you can help:
Come and volunteer
Enjoy team work? We need volunteers to work together to raise funds on our behalf. Click here for more details
Run your own fundraising event
All it takes is a juicy idea, a few helping hands and a dash of forward planning. If you want to run your own event, we can support you. Click here for more details
Sponsored success
From parachuting to walking and swimming, getting sponsored is a great way to lend your support to the Meath’s work. We have teamed up with event organisers, Skyline, to offer parachute jumps – raise the minimum sponsorship sum and you can jump for free! You can also create your own online sponsorship page. Your school or college
If you have links to a school you think might be interested in supporting the Meath, we would be delighted to hear from you. Schools can help the Meath raise money in lots of ways, such as holding a sports event, or organising a competition, bazaar or disco.
Epilepsy is a condition that can be mysterious to those who have never experienced it themselves, or whose families have not been touched by it. We would be pleased to come and talk to your school about what the Meath is all about and how we help our residents manage their epilepsy and other disabilities to live a full life.
Your workplace
You and your employer could raise funds for the Meath in a variety of ways at work:
- Adopt the Meath as your charity of the year
- Donate to the Meath through payroll giving
- Volunteer at the Meath
- Sponsor a Meath event
- Provide help in kind, such as raffle prizes, or services
Why help the Meath?
Benefits to your organisation could include:
- Increased, positive press coverage
- Enhanced team working and morale among staff
- A chance to build new, philanthropic relationships with your community
Trusts and foundations
The Meath will be seeking support from a number of charitable trusts and foundations over the next few years to raise funds for various projects that will improve life for our residents. If you know of a charitable trust you think the Meath could approach for support, please let us know.
