Stepping stones to independence

A pathway to help all Meath residents achieve their maximum potential.

Although the Meath provides long term care in a homely environment for residents with very severe epilepsy, many others will progress quite significantly during their time with us.

In most cases, those with an obvious ability to improve will first spend time in Cedar View, then progress to a more independent lifestyle in Gregory Cottage before finally moving either to our assisted living flat in Godalming or other accommodation arranged by their social services care manager.

We are actively working to expand our community activities so that residents have every opportunity to lead more independent lives when the time is right for them to do so. We enjoy good relationships with local employers and encourage our residents to seek part time employment whenever possible.
