Medical care and treatment

The Meath health care team is a vital component of the services we offer.

All residents are monitored and reviewed for their ongoing medical problems by our GP who runs two clinics each week at the Meath.

We have a Health Care Coordinator who oversees routine reviews, acute Illnesses and any other problems that occur. Our epilepsy nurse monitors and reviews the epilepsy treatment for each of our residents. She holds regular joint clinics with the GP, as well as liaising with the secondary care neurologists.

All our staff receive training in the everyday management of epilepsy care and how to respond to any emergency situation. They also have the experience and skills to support our residents with the social and psychological consequences that having epilepsy can cause.
