“Excellent workshops gave us a real insight to everyday life at the Meath” says parent Rosemary Taylor.

Another scorching summer’s day set the scene for what was generally regarded as our most successful ‘Relatives Forum’ open day. Thanks to a lot of hard work behind the scenes setting up the workshops and making sure everything ran smoothly, families and friends were able to experience all the important aspects of how the Meath functions on a day to day basis. After coffee and an introduction by trustee Colin Stokes, everyone split up into groups of seven and circulated around 4 workshops: Finance, Future Development and Fundraising, Meath Centre and Arthouse and Medical. Gordon Hennesssy, our Chief Executive, brought the morning’s activities to a close and after lunch we all thoroughly enjoyed a lively musical afternoon on the main lawn including some spirited performances from our celebrated production of ‘Grease’ the musical. Delicious cream teas in the garden brought this truly memorable event to a close.
