Purple Wave Radio, the Meath’s new online radio station, is hitting the airwaves on Friday 12th February, with access achieved via our website www.meath.org.uk. Purple Wave is the creation of a group of people supported by the Meath Epilepsy Charity, who have been working on its establishment following a visit by local Eagle Radio to interview them all for Epilepsy Week in 2013.
The Meath team, who were all really interested in learning more about broadcasting, set up a group in the Skills and Enterprise Centre led by Activities Organiser Matthew Carroll. Eagle Radio were only too pleased to advise the group on the equipment they needed, and in the months since, our budding radio presenters have all spent time learning how to use the recording software and fine tuning their material.
Purple Wave will provide music, interspersed with Meath news direct from the team. The broadcast will be made up from a mix of favourite hits, with some themed music shows, together with news and views, including interviews with people chosen for interest by the team. Feedback is welcomed by the Purple Wave crew, so do let us have your thoughts, together with any ideas for future shows.
