Christmas Carol Service 2017

11 December 2017

Carols at St Clement Danes,

The annual Christmas Carol Service at St Clement Danes Church is a much anticipated date in the diary for all at the Meath and their many supporters. This year’s event did not disappoint and the congregation were delighted with this thought provoking, poignant and ultimately up-lifting evening. Stepping into the warmth of St Clement Danes Church in London on a cold winter’s evening our guests were in the company of the High Sheriff of Surrey Robert Napier CBE and Mayor of Waverley Simon Inchbald.
This seamless service treated the congregation to the beauty of the St Clement Danes Choir, with a spectacularly powerful performance from the Honourable Artillery Company Band. In addition to the supportive and insightful words of the speakers Simon Inchbald and Robert Napier CBE the evening also provided a platform for the talented Meath Choir who were supported by staff and volunteers and the fabulous Godalming Jazz Choir. The Meath are so grateful for the support from staff, volunteers, residents, family, friends and the many people who helped them to make such a resounding success of the carol Service.
The Congregation stepped out of the Church into the winter night fortified with the warm words and soaring music delivered in the service and the opportunity to gather with friends and family and were reminded of the difference that the Meath makes to so many people’s lives. This stunning Carol Service was truly the most lovely way to step into Christmas.
