Lake District Challenge

Take on & enjoy some of England’s finest countryside and scenery at your pace. From our Kendal base-camp the full 100 km route is an anticlockwise loop taking in a few tough hills & fells, Ambleside, Lake Windermere at half way (with hostel accommodation option) nature reserves, and forests – with stunning views en-route. A huge welcome awaits back at base-camp after a momentous challenge!

Challenge Options
A Saturday morning start from our Kendal base-camp, and ahead lies some of England’s finest scenery. There’re 100 km of trails, high passes, Ambleside, the magnificent Lake Widermere, nature reserves, forests, and over 2,500 m of climb before returning back to Kendal – after an amazing challenge. There’s a 2 Day ‘Daylight’ 100 km option, with hostel accommodation at half way Lakeside, and with Half & Quarter distance options as well – + a new ‘Virtual Version’ – there’s a Lake District Challenge for everyone in 2022!
