If you have been considering working in the care sector and would like to know more about careers at the Meath Epilepsy Charity, then do please come and talk to us about the opportunities available.

Although we have a number of departments, the majority of positions advertised at the Meath are within our care teams and comprise of both early and late shifts.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training is provided, but enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference is a must. As well as contracted positions, we operate a pool of bank staff who work ‘as required’, giving them choice and flexibility in the hours they work.

Senior Support Worker 38 hours per week

Registered Service Manager 37.5hrs per week

Looking for a new challenge in your care career?

 Here at The Meath Epilepsy Charity we have an exciting opportunity to take on a new Registered Service Manager to multi-manage two of our services!

As a Registered Service Manager you will ensure that our residents are listened to, respected and all support is delivered in a person-centred way, whilst also ensuring their safety, health and well-being. You will ensure that all of the practices delivered are within the regulated guidance and to a high standard, ensure all staff are mentored and guided in their roles to know their expectations, and be accountable for the services managed, including documentation for residents and staff.

Overview:
Ensuring the needs of the residents are met and carried out to the highest standards, and that safeguarding regulations are abided by and documented.

Ensuring staff teams are mentored, guided, and supported to deliver the expected high standard of care and safety. Working within and ensuring teams work with in the perimeters of the KLOEs.

 The Meath Epilepsy Charity has an exciting opportunity to take on a part-time Catering Assistant to assist in the day-to-day running Changing Perceptions, our high-street café and workshop.

Domestic Assistant

Due to the nature of the work, all posts at the Meath are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. We require all applicants to complete a declaration form allowing any issues to be discussed as soon as possible.
  • Two references satisfactory to the Meath.
  • Successful completion of a six-month trial period.

Do you have transferable skills and would like to assist with one of the many activities offered in the Skills Centre? You could be a student working towards your Duke of Edinburgh Award or looking for interesting work experience.

People volunteer for a whole variety of reasons, but we are delighted that many of them choose the Meath to benefit from their generosity. It makes a great deal of difference in the lives of our clients every day!
