Community

The Meath has been at the heart of the Godalming community for many years and the people in our care very much appreciate and benefit from the tremendous support they receive from local organisations, clubs and societies.

If you belong to an organisation in the surrounding area, we would be delighted to visit your group and give a talk about the work of The Meath and Epilepsy.

We’re also extremely grateful for the great fundraising activities that have been led by community organisations and it’s always our pleasure to offer the support you need to make your fundraising a great success

We’d love to hear from you! Please contact Helen on 01483 411071 HelenJ@meath.org.uk for more information.

Supporting The Meath can be a great way to put learning to good use and increase children’s understanding of epilepsy, disability and social responsibility. We love visiting schools to give assembly or year group talks, often this is a great way for pupils to be introduced to the charity and to spark ideas for their support.

We recognise that teachers and students are very busy people and we therefore aim to make supporting the Meath as easy as possible and relevant to student learning.

Examples of past school fundraising have been mufti-days, cake sales and sponsored Readathons. Older students have also felt inspired to take the lead with some entrepreneurial fundraising activities such as car washes, a clothes sale and a music evening.

To book a school talk or to find out more about how your school can support The Meath please contact Helen Jackson on 01483 411071 / helenj@meath.org.uk.
